Step 1: Access the Name Reservation Module

1. Visit the official website of the Office of Company Registrar (OCR) in Nepal.
2. Locate the Name Reservation section on the homepage.
3. Click on “Get Started” under the Name Reservation Card to begin the process.

Step 2: Specify The Type Of Company

Options: Private, Public, Foreigner Owned, Profit not distributing

Below is a brief explanation of each company type option and who should choose it:

• Private (प्राइभेट): A privately held company with limited shareholders, not publicly traded. Suitable for small to medium-sized businesses owned by a few individuals.
  Choose this if you are starting a small or medium business with limited shareholders.

a. Company Name Available

  • Click “Continue Registration” if you want to proceed with the entered name.
  • Click “Try Again with Alternative Company Name” to enter a different name.

c. Company Name Not Available

• If the name is not available, click “Try Again with Alternative Company Name” to enter a new name and check its availability.
